This vintage Stratton compact is unused and still in its original box with black pouch and labels.

The circular compact has starburst design with a central dome embellished with thrirty-seven clear sparkling crystals. The reverse side has a textured pattern of stars in ever decreasing circles.

The inside of the compact is as new with the base housing the self release powder section, holding the original sifter for loose powder and the clean pink powder puff. The mirror still has the instructions label all of which indicate it has never really been used.

The internal self-release lid has the patented Stratton 'Compact in Hand' logo in the centre of the vertical band pattern indicating its age of 1948 to the early 1960s. The rim of the mirror states 'Made in England'.

Overall the compact is made from gold tone metal which shines like new. The internal and external hinges are also all in excellent working order. The original box does have slight wear to the corners.
