Vintage Stratton Eastern Powder Compact.

This vintage Stratton 'convertible' powder compact is unused and still in its original box with black pouch.

The powder compact itself has ten angular sides which enhance the round design on the face, which is an eastern embossed design on the gold tone front with intricate red enamelling and a black enamel centre. The reverse side has a textured pattern with small polished stars in ever decreasing circles, with the 'Stratton Made in England' logo in the centre.

The inside of the powder compact is as new with the base housing the self release powder section that holds the original sifter for loose powder and the pink powder puff. However, the mirror although generally as new, does have a couple of very small blemishes on the very edge where it meets the metal. These are minor and do not detract from the beauty or use on the compact.

Overall the powder compact is made from gold tone metal which shines like new and the internal and external hinges are all in excellent working order.

Excellent vintage condition despite the minor mirror blemish noted above.
